USA Cares’ team members are essential to the organization’s ability to deliver high-quality programs and services to veterans and military families living across the nation and abroad.

Matt Castor is a dedicated leader with over 15 years of experience in organizational development, strategic planning, and relationship management. As of January 2025, he serves as the President & CEO of USA Cares, Inc., where he continues his mission-driven work to support veterans and their families.

Matt joined USA Cares in 2021 and has held key roles, including Vice President of Government and Corporate Relations and Vice President of Outreach and Development. His leadership has been instrumental in building partnerships, expanding outreach, and driving the organization’s mission forward.

Prior to his tenure at USA Cares, Matt served as Director of Development at WaterStep, where he played a vital role in advancing clean water initiatives. His earlier career includes a decade at Ecolab, where he had various leadership roles, including District Manager, Distributor Sales Manager and Territory Manager, consistently delivering growth and fostering team success.

Matt holds a Bachelor’s Degree and is proud to be a Purdue University Alum. Residing in Louisville, Kentucky, with his wife Lyssa and their three daughters, Lindsay, Anna Grace, and Allie, Matt is deeply committed to making a difference both professionally and personally. His passion for service and community drives his efforts to create meaningful change and uplift those in need.
